We strive to ensure that our curriculum produces:

     ·         ambitious, capable learners, ready to learn throughout their lives

·         enterprising, creative contributors, ready to play a full part in life and work

·         ethical, informed citizens of Wales and the world

·         healthy, confident individuals, ready to lead fulfilling lives as valued members of society.

We are currently working towards all learners in Years 7-9 studying a broad range of subjects built around six Areas of Learning and Experience:

- Mathematics and Numeracy

- Languages, Literacy and Communication

- Science and Technology

- Humanities

- Health and Wellbeing

- Expressive Arts

We are proud of our language and heritage.  At Ysgol Maesydderwen, Welsh is taught as a second language and our aim is for all children to become as bilingual as possible.
