A former teacher of Ysgol Maesydderwen, Miss Janet Millar won the award for 'Teacher of the Year' from Hockey Wales.
After being nominated by a former student, Miss Millar was shortlisted into the final two places and was justified in winning the reputable award.
Miss Millar was an exceptional teacher with many sporting talents, hockey being one of them. No ones deserves this award more for the years of dedication and hard work she has put into Hockey. Miss Millar was a valuable member of staff at Ysgol Maesydderwen and was an inspiration to pupils and members of staff.
