Ysgol Maesydderwen had great success at the South Powys Sports Awards on Saturday 5th March 2016.
The Awards were hosted at Theatre Brycheiniog. Ysgol Maesydderwen over the years have had great success at these awards and tradition continued.
Hannah Barron, currently a Year 10 pupil and Silver Ambassador for the school came Runner Up in the Young Sports Leader of the year category and Jan Millar former PE teacher and now current cover supervisor at the school, was awarded 1st prize for Contribution to PE and School Sport.
There was also success for Ystradgynlais RFC and they came First in the Senior Team of the year category and Ystradgynlais RFC Youth Team came Runner Up in the Young Team of the Year category.
