
On the 13th February 2015 Ysgol Maesydderwen sent three pupils up to Llandrindod Wells to complete their Silver Ambassador training.
Josh Price, Hannah Barron and Liam Close have been selected to promote Sports and Physical Activity within Ysgol Maesydderwen through the Young Ambassadors Scheme.
Ysgol Maesydderwen now has one Platinium, one Gold, four Silver and one Bronze Ambassador within the school.
The young ambassador movement aims to empower and inspire young people to become role models and leaders through sport, by developing their confidence and skills in order to increase physical participation in others.
ll Young Ambassadors, no matter what age or level have the same outcomes for their role:

- To be an ambassador and role-model advocating PE and school sport
- To be the young person's voice on PE and school sport in our schools and communities
- Bring the inspiration of major sporting events to schools and communities e.g. London 2012, Glasgow 2014
- To get every child hooked on sport for life!
