Mrs Williams, (Adran Cymraeg) organised a residential visit to the Urdd camp in Glanllyn, North Wales from June 8 - 10.
Twenty five pupils from Years 7 and 8 attended with two A Level students who came as “Swogs”.
The pupils were a credit to the school and made a determined effort to speak Welsh to each other and the Glanllyn staff. It was a great opportunity for them to develop their Welsh skills outside the classroom in a completely Welsh environment.
The weather was kind to us and the staff at Glanllyn praised our pupils for their excellent behaviour and courtesy.
We also visited the home of the poet Hedd Wyn where we met the poet’s nephew and had an interesting talk about his life by a local historian.
Thanks to Mr Lewis, Mr Delaney and Mrs Nicky Price for accompanying us and for all their help and support.
