Parents Visit our Learning Environment
Ysgol Maesydderwen had the privilege of inviting four Year 7 parents into school for the morning to see their children in action.
The day began with a brief introduction to our new and highly successful Camau Dysgu project, followed by first hand experience of a lesson.
Parents were then introduced to our new Learning Centre with Mrs. Piddington and stayed breaktime to see their children enjoying the resources available to them in this fresh and supportive environment. After break parents were given a tour of the facilities available at Maesydderwen, including the new Outdoor Learning Area run by Lea Halborg and the Kip McGrath classroom for Literacy and Numeracy small group interventions.
It was a very successful day and we will be looking to extend this invitation to more parents in the coming weeks. If you are interested in joining us, please contact the school office and leave your contact details for a member of the pastoral team.
