On the 19th March 2015, Ysgol Maesydderwen hosted The Young Ambassador 'Bronze Ambassador Training Day' for the cluster primaries. Each year Primaries must select 2 pupils to take up the role of Bronze Ambassadors.
New Ambassadors and the current Ambassadors for the primaries attend the day. The day started with the Ambassadors having a theory session in the morning explaining what a young ambassador is and the role of a young ambassador. The current Silver, Gold and Platinum Ambassadors within Ysgol Maesydderwen also attended the day to give support to Bronze ambassadors. In the afternoon all the Ambassadors took part in practical sessions which showed them how to set up games in a safe environment and how to make up and use the Dragon Multi Skills cards.
Young Ambassadors are the most outstanding sports leaders in schools. They can be selected due to their sporting talent, but more importantly, due to their exceptional commitment and ability as young leaders or volunteers.
Ysgol Maesydderwen wants every leader and volunteer to aspire to be a Young Ambassador and to ensure this happens we focus on making the programme fully inclusive for young people of all abilities.
