CYMRAEG AIL IAITH - WELSH SECOND LANGUAGE
Cyfnod Allweddol 3 / Key Stage 3
Blwyddyn 7
Yn ystod Blwyddyn 7, mae’r disgyblion yn datblygu eu sgiliau gwrando, siarad, darllen ac ysgrifennu yn y Gymraeg. Fe hybir eu medrau ieithyddol drwy weithgareddau amrywiol ac wrth astudio themau megis Fi Fy Hun, Ysgol, Teulu a Chartref, Anifeiliaid, Parti ac Hamddena.
Year 7
In Year 7, pupils develop their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in Welsh. Their linguistic abilities are promoted through various activities and by studying themes such as Myself, School, Family and Home, Animals, Party and Leisure Time.
As above for each year – change themes as follows:
Blwyddyn 8 : Gwyliau, Yr Ardal, Ffrindiau, Bwyd, Arian Poced, Siopa a Ffasiwn.
Year 8: Holidays, The Area, Friends, Food, Pocket Money, Shopping and Fashion
Blwyddyn 9: Dylanwadau a Phroblemau’r Ifanc, Dysgu Cymraeg, Cymru a’r Byd, Y Dyfodol.
Year 9: Influences and Teenage Issues, Learning Welsh, Wales and the World, The Future.
TGAU CYMRAEG AIL IAITH Cyfnod Allweddol 4
Yng Nghyfnod Allweddol 4 mae’r disgyblion yn ehangu eu sgiliau gwrando, siarad, darllen ac ysgrifennu yn y Gymraeg. Anogir disgyblion i fagu hyder wrth siarad yn unigol ac wrth drafod mewn grwp. Datblygir sgiliau darllen drwy ymateb i ystod eang o ddeunyddiau darllen. Addysgir disgyblion i ysgrifennu yn gywir mewn ystod o ffurfiau at amrywiaeth o bwrpasau
GCSE WELSH SECOND LANGUAGE KEY STAGE 4
In Key Stage 4, pupils are expected to further develop their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in Welsh. Pupils are taught to speak individually and to be able to discuss a wide range of topics as a group. Reading skills are developed through response to a wide range of reading materials. Pupils are taught to write clearly in a range of forms and a variety of purposes.
CYMRAEG IAITH GYNTAF – WELSH FIRST LANGUAGE
BLWYDDYN 7, 8 a 9
Yng Nghyfnod Allweddol 3, rydym yn hyfforddi’r disgyblion i gyfathrebu’n effeithiol ar lafar ac yn ysgrifenedig. Datblygir sgiliau darllen er mwyn mwynhad ac addysgir disgyblion i ysgrifennu mewn sawl dull creadigol megis stori, ymson, llythyr, deialog a dyddiadur. Anogir disgyblion i fynegi barn yn glir gan ddwyn perswad. Defnyddir themau yn sail i’r gwaith hwn gan ddefnyddio ystod eang o sbardunau i annog y disgyblion i ddatblygu eu sgiliau darllen, ysgrifennu a llafaredd ymhellach. Mae’r gwaith a gyflwynir yng Nghyfnod Allweddol 3 yn sail gadarn i’r gwaith a gwblheir yng Nghyfnod Allweddol 4.
YEARS 7, 8 and 9
In Key Stage 3 pupils are taught to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Reading skills are developed, including reading for pleasure. Pupils are taught to write in variety of genres, such as the story, soliloquy, letter, dialogue and diary. Pupils are encouraged to express opinions clearly and to persuade others. The work is theme based and a wide range of materials are used in order to further develop reading, writing and oracy. The work which is introduced in Key Stage 3 provides a sound basis for work completed in Key Stage 4.

Yng Nghyfnod Allweddol 4 rydym yn hyfforddi’r disgyblion i gyfathrebu’n fwyfwy effeithiol ar lafar ac yn ysgrifenedig, ac i allu ymateb i amrywiaeth o destunau darllen. Datblygir eu sgiliau i gyfathrebu ar lafar yn unigol ac fel aelod o grwp gan fynegi barn yn effeithiol. Addysgir disgyblion i ysgrifennu mewn sawl ffurf creadigol a ffeithiol ar gyfer amrywiaeth o bwrpasau gan roi pwyslais ar gywirdeb ieithyddol.
GCSE WELSH – FIRST LANGUAGE
In Key Stage 4 pupils are taught to further develop their ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and to listen with understannding. They are expected to respond to a wide range of eading materials, including literary and factual. Pupils are taught to communicate orally both individually and in a group discussion and to express opinions effectively. They are expected to write for a variety of purposes, in both factual and imaginative forms, with a good level of accuracy.
