GCSE Media Studies
GCSE Media Studies encourages pupils to develop a critical awareness of the media and involves the study of television, cinema, radio, newspapers, magazines, advertising and the internet. The course involves 60% coursework and 40% examination. The coursework consists of two textual investigations into two different areas of the media (20%) and one production piece (40%). This course is stimulating and rewarding for any pupil with an interest in the media, particularly those planning a future in the media industry.
